At the end of the 1950's the necessity was seen
in the United States to produce metal working products which would be effective on extremely hard-to-machine metal alloys. Resulting from a large-scale scientific test programme, there originated, in cooperation with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) a completely new type of water-soluble cooling lubricant
which is the basis of Metosol 506. During the
next two decades, development continued
uninterruptedly in the USA and Europe of this unique product, which was the only one of its kind on the world market, in order to keep pace with the development of machine tool construction and the new industrial processing techniques.

This development was further improved at
the laboratories in our own production centres
and brought to the latest state of the art of
present-day technology and petrochemistry.
This was achieved by taking into consideration the increasingly strict requirements for
operational safety and environment.

Today, Metoproducts supply a comprehensive
range of metal working lubricants. The range
includes neat oils, soluble oils, synthetics
semi-synthetics and drawing compounds. Each type of lubricant is available in several E.P forms, either chlorinated or chlorine free. There is a product to meet every metal working requirements.
